As standard we insure your DSLR equipment on a new for old basis, meaning if you lose or damage your camera, lenses or other accessories beyond repair, they can be replaced with a brand-new equivalent model. Make sure you provide us with the ‘as new now’ values of your DSLR or related equipment when obtaining your quote with us, so you are covered for the right amount if a replacement if needed.
To ensure peace of mind when you are out and about with your camera, all our policies cover your DSLR and accompanying equipment whilst stored in a vehicle. Yes, Towergate offer products that provide cover for 'open theft' and this would include opportunist. This means we do not require signs of forcible or violent, entry or exit for the theft cover to be in force.
We only need to know about claims you have made in the last five years. Each claim is considered on an individual basis and though some may have no effect on your policy, others might. Just make sure you let us know and we will talk you through it, failure to disclose a claim can invalidate your cover.
