It’s lower risk than using ladders and can sometimes result in lower premiums so it is definitely worth mentioning to your adviser. It’s also worth covering your window cleaning equipment including whilst it’s in transit in between jobs.
No this would not be covered as damage to items being worked upon is a common exclusion throughout these policies. However, should the shards of glass fall and cause injury to passers by then this would be covered under the public liability insurance, subject to negligence on your part.
